Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha went up to 5962 on Thursday with 210 new cases being reported from 18 districts in the last 24 hours.
According to a tweet by the I &PR Department, 174 of these cases have been detected in the quarantine centres while the remaining 36 are local contacts.
Ganjam recorded the highest of 58 cases followed by Khurda (47), Gajapati (29), Balangir (11), eight each in Puri and Jajpur, seven each in Maurbhanj and Dhenkanal, Sundargarh (6), five each in Keonjhar and Cuttack, three each in Kendrapada and Nayagarh, two each in Nabarangpur and Balasore, and one each in Deogarh, Angul, and Sambalpur.
Besides, six NDRF personnel, who had returned to the state after Amphan duty in West Bengal, have also tested positive for the virus.
With 15 deaths and 4123 recoveries, Odisha now has 1815 active cases.
