Rayagada: The toll in the fire mishap at a bakery in Odisha’s Rayagada rose to three on Friday after another family member succumbed at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
A couple was earlier charred to deaths in the fire on Thursday night. They were identified as bakery owner Dayanidhi Behera and his wife Laxmi. Behera and his wife succumbed to their injuries late Thursday night at MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur.
Two of their sons and a daughter-in-law also sustained burns in the incident. They were shifted to SCB after their condition deteriorated.
According to sources, the fire broke out in the bakery at Sikarpai village under Kalyansinghpur block on Thursday evening. The fire spread to the house adjacent to the bakery. The bakery owner and his family stay in the house.
