Puri: A teenage artist in Puri district has created a replica of 1980s radio by using over 3,000 matchsticks to mark World Radio Day on February 13.
Saswat Ranjan Sahoo (18) told news agency ANI that it took him around four days to complete the masterpiece using 3,130 matchsticks.
“In making this replica of the Panasonic stereo, I extend my support to all radio programs and also request the people to listen to radio programs regularly,” Saswat said.
World Radio Day is celebrated every year on February 13 to raise awareness about the importance of the medium among people.
