Bhubaneswar: Did an associate professor at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar provide fake experience certificate for selection as a faculty member?
The hospital authorities have served a notice to Dr Sunil Kumar Rout of the Burns and Plastic Surgery department in this regard.
According to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) rules, a doctor requires three years of teaching experience to become an associate professor at AIIMS.
However, a complaint lodged with the hospital authorities alleged that Rout was selected as a faculty in December 2017 on the basis of the certificate of experience of three years in Hi-Tech Medical College from 2010 to 2013. But there was no plastic surgery department at that hospital during the period, the complaint added.
Following this, Rout was asked to submit his experience certificate, salary slips and other related documents, AIIMS Director Prof Gitanjali Batmanabane said. He has to do so within 10 days, the director added.
On his part, Rout said he will reply to the notice and submit the relevant documents within the timeframe.
