COVID-19 Fight: 229 More Recover, Total 5,934 In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 229 COVID-19 patients recovered from the disease and were being discharged in Odisha on Saturday even as 495 new cases were registered on the day.

Ganjam district, which continues to be the hotspot of the pandemic, reported the highest recovered cases of 91, followed by Khurda with 29, Gajapati 26, Jharsuguda 15, Balangir 12, and Jagatsinghpur and Mayurbhanj with 11 each.

Following are the recovered cases from other districts:
8 from Jajpur
6 from Kendrapara
5 from Keonjhar

4 each from Cuttack and Sundargarh
3 each from Bhadrak and Nayagarh
1 from Baragarh

The recovered cases in the state have gone up to 5,934 while total number of positive cases is 8,601. The COVID-19 has already taken the lives of 34 people.
