Odisha COVID-19 Tally Breaches 8500 With 495 New Cases From 24 Districts

Bhubaneswar: The surge in COVID-19 cases in Odisha continued for the second consecutive day with 495 more people in 24 districts testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Friday had witnessed the highest single-day spike of 561 cases.

With these fresh cases, the affected tally in the state rose to 8601 on Saturday.

According to I & PR department, 355 cases have been detected in quarantine centres while 140 are locals contacts. Ganjam reported the highest of 216 cases followed by 50 in Khurda and 36 in Sundargarh.
