Bhubaneswar: Coronavirus death toll touched 34 in Odisha after five more persons succumbed to the virus on Saturday.
According to the Health Department sources, three among the deceased are from Ganjam and two from Bhubaneswar
The victims from Bhubaneswar are a 51-year-old man, who was suffering from pleural tuberculosis and a 64-year-old diabetic man. These apart, a 50-year-old man, who was suffering from diabetes and hypertension, and two men aged 27 and 35 years from Ganjam have also died of COVID-19, the sources added.
One more death was reported from Cuttack district but due to other health complications.
Earlier, the virus had claimed 17 lives in Ganjam district, five in Khurda, four in Cuttack, and one each in Puri, Angul and Bargarh.
