Cuttack: The UG and PG examinations at Ravenshaw University on March 25 and 26 were rescheduled and classes suspended after detection of three COVID-19 cases on Thursday.
A staffer from the psychology department and two hostel boarders had tested positive for the virus.
According to university sources, exams will be held from March 27 onwards in accordance with the schedule while the new dates of those rescheduled will be announced soon.
This was decided at a meeting chaired by Prof Aparajita Chowdhury, who is holding charge of vice-chancellor in addition to her responsibilities as VC of RD Women’s University.
Chowdhary has instructed the faculty members to conduct online classes so that the closure doesn’t hamper study.
