Ganjam: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday launched Ama Gaon, Ama Vikas (our village, our development) programme at G Jagannathpur village under Gopalpur assembly constituency in Ganjam district and constituted a 20-member village committee to strengthen the BJD at the grassroots.
Gracing a public meeting, the Chief Minister said, “Members of the committee would be engaged to reach out to the rural masses, letting them know the achievements of the state government. They would interact with the people, identify their problems and find ways to address the same.”
Attending the meeting, Food Supplies Minister Surya Narayan Patro, Rural Development Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh and former Minister Pradeep Purohit called upon the party members to face the opposition parties boldly.
