Brahmagiri: A youth was tied behind a motorcycle with a chain and dragged for around 1.5 km to a police station for allegedly harassing a married woman at Brahmagiri in Puri district on Thursday.
According to reports, the youth, identified as Ramesh Bhoi, was harassing the woman over phone for the last eight days. Despite several warnings, he kept calling and sending objectionable texts to her. When the situation got out of control, family members of the woman hatched a plan and called the youth to meet her at Bentur. As soon Bhoi reached the spot, they caught hold of him, tied him to a motorcycle and dragged him to a nearby police station.
The matter came to the fore after a video of the incident went viral.
