Nuapada: A youth was injured after being attacked by a wild bear at Samarasingh village under Korana block in Nuapada district on Thursday.
He was identified as Chama Luhar (20).
According to reports, Luhar had gone to a nearby forest to graze his sheep when the bear suddenly appeared before him. Hearing his screams, some villagers rushed to the spot and rescued him. He was then rushed to a local health centre for treatment. His condition is stated to be critical.
