Bhubaneswar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be in Odisha for a day’s visit on March 8.
Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik said the party chief is scheduled to address two public meetings, one at Jeypore in Koraput district and later in Bargarh town of Bargarh district.
“The Congress president, accompanied by the in-charge of Odisha Congress (temporary) and Health and Family Welfare minister, Chhattisgarh, T.S. Singhdeo, and the Odisha prabhari Jitender Singh, will focus on farmers, youths and the Dalits in these two public meetings,” Niranjan said.
This would be Rahul’s third visit to Odisha this year. The Congress chief was in Bhubaneswar on January 25 and then travelled to western Odisha on February 6, where he addressed public meetings at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district and Rourkela in Sundargarh district.
