These Essential Services Will Remain Open During COVID-19 Lockdown In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has requested people not to use the vehicle and send only one member of their family go out to the nearest shop to fetch minimum essential commodities once in a day, during the COVID-19 lockdown in the state to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

During the lockdown, which has been extended to all 30 districts of the state, till March 29, medicine, grocery stores and shops selling essential commodities (fruit, milk, bread, biscuits, bakery, grocery, vegetables, fish, meat) will be remain open.

Milk booths will also remain open, but they have been barred from selling paan, ghutka and tea.

Hospitals, clinics and path labs will also remain open, while police, health, electricity, water supply, municipal service and agencies engaged in COVID-19 duty will continue.

Banks have been told to operate with 10 per cent employees and maintain enough cash in their ATMS.

Petrol pumps will also remain open during the period.
