73 Candidates Elected Unopposed In ULB Polls In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 73 candidates have been elected uncontested to the post of corporators in the elections to urban local bodies (ULBs) in the state.

Of the total candidates elected unopposed, 69 are nominees of ruling BJD, while one each is from BJP and Congress and two are Independent contestants.

Maximum 41 candidates elected uncontested are from Ganjam district, while 5 are from Dhenkanal.
