Mumbai: Singer turned producer Mika Singh had a tough time producing his first web show ‘Dangerous’ with Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover as the lead pair.

Sharing the unpleasant experience during an interview with Hindustan Times, Mika stated that on the very first day of the shoot in London, his heroine Bipasha Basu created a scene for breakfast.

As he was in India at that time, he had to settle the matter over phone. Soon, his director Bhushan Patel also started throwing tantrums for good food during their stay in London. Being the producer of film, Mika had to rush to London to solve the problems.

“On the first day in London, Bipasha didn’t have her breakfast. I think she forgot and she straightaway went to the sets. She is a person who follows a strict diet. When she didn’t get to eat anything, she started shouting at everyone on the first day on the sets. I was in India at the time. I got a phone call about the matter. I have spent money so I was a bit tense. Somehow, I managed to get things under control,” Mika told Hindustan Times.

After this unpleasant experience with the cast and crew of his first production, Mika has now made up his mind to work with only top notch actors or newcomers.

Mika also said that though he is a bigger star than Bipasha and Karan, he had a tough time handling the mediocre actors.

“I don’t like to fool anyone. I just work. I will again produce a film but will probably get top actors or newcomers next time. It is very difficult to handle those at the middle-level,” said the singer.

Talking about the ongoing nepotism debate, the singer stated that despite being an average singer, he got a chance in the industry and thus, he doesn’t feel that there is any gang in Bollywood.

“Everyone gets a chance in Mumbai. I was not even a good singer but I got a chance. I don’t think there is any Mumbai gang. You take the examples of Guru Randhawa, Honey Singh, Badshah, B Praak — everybody has achieved success,” he said.
