1 Dead, Five Critical In Mo Bus-Car Collision On Puri-Konark Marine Drive In Odisha

Puri: One person died while five others were critically injured in a head-on collision between a Mo Bus and a car on Puri-Konark Marine Drive in Odisha on Monday morning.

According to sources, the accident took place when the car was heading towards Bhubaneswar from Chandrabhaga while the Mo Bus was en route to Konark from Puri.

The driver of the car, which was badly mangled under the impact of the collision, died on the spot while the remaining passengers were grievously injured. The Mo Bus veered off the road and crashed into a roadside tree after the collision, trapping the driver in the wreckage. A passenger of the bus also sustained injuries in the mishap.

On being informed, police and Fire Service personnel reached the spot and rescued the the injured, who were then rushed to Puri district headquarters hospital (DHH). Two among them were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated, the sources added.
