Bhadrak: At least one person was killed and 10 others sustained grievous injuries in two separate road mishaps in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Saturday.
According to a report from Bhadrak, one accident took place near Bhandaripokhari in the early hours when a speeding truck rammed into a car en route from Balasore.
While one person died on the spot, four others sustained injuries. The injured persons have been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) at Bhadrak for treatment.
A team of police personnel rushed to the site and launched an investigation into the incident. Further details are awaited.
In another mishap, a truck proceeding to Kolkata from Bhubaneswar dashed agaisnt a stationary truck and overturned near Trisulpur Chhak under Bhadrak Rural police limits. Six persons in the truck were seriously injured in the mishap. All of them were stated to be from West Bengal.
The injured persons were admitted to Bhadrak DHH and three of them were later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after their health conditions worsened. Further details are awaited.
