Nabarangpur: A man escaped with injuries as the boundary wall of the sub-collector’s office in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district collapsed on Monday.
According to sources, the man was sitting on his motorcycle after parking it beside the boundary wall. He had accompanied somebody to the office and was waiting there for his return. At the time, a portion of the boundary wall collapsed on him.
The local people rushed to the spot and rescued the man who was almost buried under the bricks and mortar of the collapsed wall. Three other motorcycles parked at the place were also damaged.
The man, who was injured in the incident, was rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Nabarangpur. His condition was stated to be stable.
The locals suspected that the boundary wall collapsed as it had become weak due to continuous rain for the last few days in the town.
