1 Killed, 15 Injured As Jatni-Bound Bus Collides With Gas Tanker In Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A person was killed while 15 others were injured after an OSRTC bus collided head-on with a gas tanker on Takara Ghat under Daspalla police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Saturday.

According to sources, the driver of the tanker died on the spot.

On being informed, police teams from Daspalla and Banigochha and the fire brigade reached the spot and rescued the injured persons. Among them, seven are reportedly critical. They have been admitted to Daspalla Community Health Centre.

The accident took place around 12 noon while the bus, carrying 60 passengers, was en route to Jatni in Khurda district from Kantamal in Boudh, the sources added.
