Bhawanipatna: One person was killed and two others were critically injured in a collision between two bikes on National Highway No 59 near Kendubandh village of Madanpur Rampur (M Rampur) tehsil in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Yuvan Tandi of Jhet Pali village in Komna block of Nuapada district.
According to sources, Yuvan Tandi, his son Rajeev Tandi and Bhagirathi Jal of Jhet Pali village in Komna block of Nuapada district were on their way to their village from M Rampur Pat when their bike collided with the motorcycle of Parmanand Bhoi and Naresh Chandan coming from opposite direction. Bhoi and Chandan of Kanderei villageunder Karlamunda block were en route M Rampur.
They were rushed by locals to M Rampur Community Health Center (CHC) where Yuvan was declared dead on arrival. His son Parmanand was shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Bhawanipatna as his condition was critical.
The other injured are undergoing treatment at the CHC.
