Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a man was trampled to death and another injured in elephant attack at Nuapalli village under Mujagada Forest Range in Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Shankuru Nayak.
According to sources, the wild elephant attacked Shankuru when he was working in his farmland, following which, he died on the spot.
Since the last report came in, 18 wild elephants were still in the farmland.
