Balangir: Balangir Town Police on Wednesday arrested 10 persons, including eight women, on charges of ransacking the house of Odisha woman cricketer Sarita Meher.
According to sources, the arrested persons allegedly barged into Sarita’s house and manhandled her family members on January 5. Her father, brother and friend were also injured in the attack.
A police team lead by SP K Siva Subramani had visited the spot for further investigation into the incident.
However, the reason behind the attack is yet to ascertained.
Sarita is a member of Odisha Cricket Association.
