Bhadrak: Snake helpline officials on Monday rescued 10 more cobras from a house in Bhadrak district.
As many as 126 hatchlings and three snakes have earlier been picked up from the same locality in the last couple of days.
According to available information, the son of one Gouranga Jena spotted the snakes in his house and immediately alerted the snake helpline officials.
As soon as the news spread, locals in large numbers gathered near the village to see the snakes.
On Sunday, three cobras, one male and two females were rescued from the house of one Bijay Bhuyan at Paika Sahi in Shyamsundarpur village under Dhamnagar police limits in the district.
As many as 126 baby Cobras were also rescued from the same house the previous day.
The search operation for the cobras was launched after receiving a call from Bhuyan who spotted the snakes in his house. However, the operation was halted due to rain in the evening. The operation was again resumed by a team of snake helpline officials the following day and the snakes were rescued.
