Cuttack: At least ten girl students were injured after a passenger bus rammed into a private school vehicle in Odisha’s Cuttack city on Tuesday.
As per preliminary information, the mishap took place at Khannagar Chhak of the city in the morning when the bus was carrying students of a junior college.
Sources said the passenger bus crashed into the vehicle carrying the students near Khannagar Chhak, causing injuries to students aboard. While around 10 girls were injured, four of them sustained serious injuries. The injured students were rescued by locals immediately.
The driver of the passenger bus was overpowered by locals when he was trying to flee the scene. Locals claimed that the driver was in an inebriated state.
On being informed, a police team rushed to the site and further details are awaited.
