Baripada: At least 10 persons were injured after a bus they were travelling in skidded off the road in Betanati area of Odisha’s Mayhurbhanj district on Wednesday.
The mishap took place at Ragadha under the jurisdiction of Betanati Police Station when the private bus carrying around 40 passengers was on its way to Baripada from Amarda.
The vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a field apparently after the driver lost control over the steering. Local people rushed to the spot immediately following the incident and rescued the passengers. The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
After receiving the information, Betanati Police reached the spot and launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
