Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested 10 persons allegedly involved in a group clash over misbehaviour with a girl inside a bar in Chandrasekharpur of Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, the girl along with her two friends had gone to the bar on Monday night when some staff reportedly misbehaved with her. Agitated over it, she informed her male friends belonging to the area.
The girl’s friends came to the bar and beat up the employee. They also allegedly vandalised the bar and damaged the furniture.
In retaliation, other staff of the bar thrashed the girl’s friends and rescued their colleague. Several members of both groups including the girl were injured in the violent clash.
Later, the girl and the bar staff filed complaints against each other at Chandrasekharpur police station. The police went to the spot and seized the footage of the CCTV cameras installed inside the bar.
Following initial investigation into the complaints, 10 persons from both groups were arrested, said police sources.
