Keonjhar: At least 10 passengers of a bus sustained injuries as a tipper hit it from behind in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Sunday.
According to sources, the private bus carrying around 50 passengers was going from Dhenkanal to Tensa in Sundargarh in the afternoon. While the bus had stopped near Medical Square in Basudevpur to board some passengers, the Hyva tipper came in high speed from behind and dashed against it.
On the impact of the accident, at least 10 passengers of the bus sustained injuries. The locals rescued the injured passengers from the bus and admitted them in the community health centre (CHC) at Basudevpur. The condition of three of them was stated to be critical.
The locals also detained the driver of the tipper and informed the police. A team from Champua police statin went to the accident spot and took the driver into custody.
