Koraput: As many as 69 police officers of Koraput district were awarded on Wednesday for their contribution towards fighting the Naxals in the district.
Ten police officers were awarded with DGP’s Disc-2021 for their outstanding performance in anti-Naxal operations.
Similarly, 59 police officers were presented with DGP’s Commendation Roll for very good performance in anti-Naxal operations, according to a release of Odisha Police State Headquarters, Cuttack.
It may be noted that a number of Maoist cadres have been surrendered and arrested in the district in recent past.
