Rajnagar (Kendrapara): A total of 103 nests of estuarine crocodile have been spotted inside Bhitarkanika National Park in Odisha’s Kendrapara district this year.

Informing the media on Wednesday, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Rajnagar Wildlife Division, Bimal Prasanna Acharya said of the 103 nests, 91 have been found in Dangamal under Kanika Wildlife Range, nine in Rajnagar Wildlife Range, two in Mahakalapada and one in Gahirmatha.

“Last year, 101 nests were spotted in the Park sanctuary limits,” the DFO added.
