Bhubaneswar: The COVID toll in Odisha touched 8,028 on Thursday with six more deaths being confirmed after an audit.
Among the new fatalities, the highest 4 was reported from Bhubaneswar.
The deceased were identified as:
1. A 51-year-old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
2. A 85-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Asthma & Coronary Artery Disease.
3. A 62-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
4. An 85-year-old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.
5. A 104-year-old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
6. A 43-year-old male of Jajpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Cervical Myelopathy.
Notably, the second wave of the pandemic has claimed the lives of 38 children and adolescents in Odisha. As many as 13 of these deaths were reported between August 10 and 31.
