Bhubaneswar: Odisha has seen a marginal rise in COVID-19 infections in the last two days after the state government decided to withdraw the weekend shutdown and revise night curfew on Tuesday.
On Thursday, the government announced 754 new infections. These included 108 children and adolescents (below 18 years). The infection rate among this group was 14 per cent.
The number of daily cases in Odisha was 719 on Wednesday and 638 on Tuesday.
The I&PR department informed that 438 of the new cases in the last 24 hours are from quarantine and 316 are local contacts.
Khurda district reported the highest of 261 new infections, followed by Cuttack (110) and Balasore (43).
