Jharsuguda: The district administration on Monday declared part of Brundaban Colony in this town as a containment zone after 11 girl students of a training college tested positive for COVID-19.
According to sources, the students of the GNM Training College had undergone the COVID-19 test on January 8 after the institute reopened. As many as 11 students tested positive for the virus.
Executive Magistrate (Jharsuguda) Golak Bihari Mangaraj said the residents of Lane-II at Brundaban Colony have been directed not to move out of their houses.
Mangaraj added that the contact tracing of the infected students is going on.
It may be recalled that 26 teachers and two students of a school in the Gajapati district had tested positive for COVID-19 on January 10.
