Keonjhar: An explosion in a blast furnace of KJS Ahluwalia Sponge Iron Plant under Rugudi police limits in Keonjhar district left 11 workers injured on Friday.
The victims sustained serious burn injuries and were admitted to Tisco hospital in Joda. The condition of two among them is stated to be critical.
Irked over the incident, a group of workers staged a demonstration on the plant premises demanding adequate compensation for the victims.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation. The reason behind the blast is yet to be ascertained.
