Sambalpur: Fresh COVID-19 infections were reported from Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology (SUIIT) in Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur on Friday.
Informing about the new cases, SUIIT Vice-Chancellor said 11 students were found positive for COVID-19 and all of them have been kept in isolation and are under watch.
Meanwhile, the institution has taken all precautionary measures like sanitisation and steps have also been taken to check the spread of virus in the campus.
On Thursday, one positive case was reported from Gangadhar Meher (GM) University here. A girl student of the varsity has tested positive for the virus.
