115 Personnel Of Odisha Police Presented DGP’s Disc In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: As many as 115 personnel of Odisha Police were honoured with DGP’s Disc for their outstanding performance and dedication to duty on Saturday.

Director General of Police Sunil Kumar Bansal presented the awards at a function organised on the occasion of 88th Police Foundation Day in Bhubaneswar. The awardees included 100 personnel for 2023 and 15 for 2022.

Earlier, Bansal paid homage to the police personnel who laid down their lives on duty and honoured their family members at 6th Battalion in Cuttack. He also attended a parade took out by the police.

Total 10 groups including SOG, OSAP, IRB , UPD Cuttack/UPD Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Rural (APR Women), UPD Cuttack/UPD Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Rural (APR Men)/ Traffic Constable, Commissionerate BBSR-Cuttack , ODRAF, OISF, OSAF and Fire Service participated in the parade.

Speaking on the occasion, Bansal called upon the personnel of the department to carry out their duties with dedication, honesty and commitment. Stating that the department has earned reputation for its achievements in different fields of security, he said, “In coming days, we have to scale new heights in maintaining law and order, solving high profile cases and rooting out Maoist menace from the state.”
