Bhubaneswar: A total of 115 boys and girls from Nepal, Canada, USA and host country India will compete in singles and doubles events of the J30 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors meet at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Centre here.
The opening ceremony of the tournament, organised by Odisha Tennis Association, was held on Sunday. Following the qualifying rounds during the weekend, the main draw will commence on Monday.
The qualifying rounds, with a draw size of 32 for both boys and girls, will see four players grabbing berths in the main draw.
The finals are scheduled for May 10.
One of more than 800 tournaments held in 140 countries, the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors meets provide a platform for budding tennis stars to showcase their skills and compete on an international stage.
The young talents will vie for valuable ranking points, with the winners receiving 30 points in singles and 25 in doubles.
