Nabarangpur: As many as 12 girls, including six minors, were rescued from traffickers in Nabarangpur town on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted a government passenger bus in which the girls were traveling and rescued them. A trafficker identified as Tapan was also nabbed from the spot.
The girls were reportedly being trafficked to Tamil Nadu. The trafficker is being interrogated to extract details regarding other members of his gang, police sources said.
