Kodala: Normal life was thrown out of gear in Kodala area of Ganjam district following a 12-hour bandh called by the local Bar Association to press for their five-point charter of demands.
Most of the markets, shops and other commercial establishments remained shut, while vehicles stayed off the road during the strike. The protestors picketed and staged blockades at different locations by burning tyres.
“The district administration should initiate proactive measures to set up an Additional District Judge Court here at the earliest. Establishment of the court would go a long way in helping Kodala residents get justice without any hassle,” one of the agitating lawyers said.
