Bhubaneswar: So far, 13 persons have been arrested since the mob violence at Raj Mahal Square here on September 7.
City police said nine persons were arrested on Sunday and four on Saturday night. Police have registered cases under various CrPC sections against them.
The incident had taken place after locals accused the traffic enforcement squad of letting off government vehicles without valid documents and driving license. The agitators also detained a police van and two other vehicles.
Police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the mob, which in turn pelted stones at the law enforcers.
Later, police commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi went to the spot and brought the situation under control.
