Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases with samples of 13 persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. The state’s affected tally now stands at 74.
The new cases have been reported from Bhadrak (5), Jajpur (5), Balasore (2) and Sundargarh (1). Among them is a two-year-old girl from Balasore.
With 24 having been cured of the disease and one death, Odisha now has 49 active cases.
The Health and Family Welfare Department has released district-wise data of COVID19 positive cases and recovered cases in Odisha as on April 20.
The virus has so far spread its tentacles to 10 of the 30 districts in Odisha. Seven among them coastal districts.
