Rourkela: A 13-year-old girl, who was allegedly repeatedly raped by cops at Biramitrapur police station and forced to undergo an abortion, went missing from the SOS village in Rourkela on Friday.

According to sources, the authorities concerned have lodged a missing complaint at Chend police station.

Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and the survivor’s family have been intimated about it.

The IIC of Birmitrapur police station was placed under suspension on June 26 for his alleged involvement in the rape and abortion of the girl, police said. He was later dismissed from service by Odisha DGP Abhya, who also ordered a crime branch probe into the incident.

While the police personnel alleged raped the girl for over four months, a government doctor is also accused of terminating her pregnancy at Birmitrapur Community Health Centre on June 15.
