Boudh: A 13-year-old girl student was allegedly molested by a teacher on the school premises under Harbhanga police limits in Boudh on Monday.
The matter came to light after her family members lodged a police complaint on Tuesday. The girl is a Class VIII student.
According to the complaint, the accused teacher called her and some other girls to distribute prasad during Ganesh Puja celebration in the school. He molested her when she was alone in the classroom. He also threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the matter to anyone.
Later, the girl narrated her ordeal to her family members.
Based on the complaint, Harbhanga police have registered a case against the school teacher and efforts are on to nab the accused, who is absconding.
