Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID cases in Odisha capital remained below 200 for second consecutive day on Tuesday.
According to a tweet of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on the day, total 130 new COVID cases were reported from the city in 24 hours. All the new cases were local contacts. The capital registered same number of cases on Monday.
Of the total patients, maximum 15 were from Patia, followed by 11 from Unit VI and 9 from Sailashree Vihar.
While 115 patients recovered from the disease during the period, the active cases stood at 1,363. The number of deceased persons due to COVID remained at 1,193.
The total COVID positive cases in the city have gone up to 1,62,419 even as 1,59,843 have recovered from it.
It may be noted that Khurd district, where Bhubaneswar is located, reported 152 new cases during the period.
