Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday sanctioned Rs 30.72 crore for 138 panchayats in four blocks of four districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The chief minister sanctioned the amount for 1214 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 6.50 crore has been earmarked for 271 projects in 27 panchayats of Sohela block in Bargarh district, Rs 8.75 crore for 444 projects in 41 panchayats of Nischintkoili block in Cuttack district, Rs 9.22 crore for 304 projects in 45 panchayats of the Dharmasala block in Jajpur district and Rs 6.25 crore for 195 projects in 25 panchayats of the Sorada block in Ganjam district.
The chief minister advised the people and the block representatives to ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects.
This is for the fifth time that the state government has sanctioned the projects under the scheme at the block level which had begun on May 23.
Among others, chief secretary, development commissioner, principal secretary, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and senior officials of the concerned departments were present.
