Nuapada: Police on Saturday arrested 14 gamblers from Junani forest in Nuapada district.
Based on specific information, a police team led by Nuapada SP conducted raid in the area, which led to the arrest and seizure of cash to the tune of Rs 2.10 lakh.
Apart from the money, the police has seized 14 cell phones and 14 motorcycles.
“The raid was carried out after receiving information of suspicious activities in the locality. The gamblers tried to escape but were nabbed”, a police officer informed.
