14 wagons of goods train derails in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: At least 14 wagons of a goods train derailed near Banabihari Gwalipur railway station in Jagatsinghpur district in the early hours on Friday.
The incident took place at around 6 am when the train carrying coal was heading towards Paradip from Cuttack.
East Coast Railway General Manager Umesh Singh asked officers of the Khurda Road Division to set up a committee to inquire into the incident and submit a detailed report on the same.
Following the derailment, train services were largely affected on the route. Sources said, 58406/58405,58535/58536-Paradip-Cuttack-Paradip passenger and 18413-Paradip-Puri Express were cancelled for today.
