New Delhi: Banks will have 15 closure days in October due to various state-specific festivals and national holidays.
According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI), these holidays are on account of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Durga Puja, Dussehra, and Diwali. Additionally, banks will be closed during four Sundays and two Saturdays, the 2nd and the fourth.
However, these holidays may differ from state to state as regions may observe different festivals or the same festival on a different day.
In Bhubaneswar, banks will remain closed on October 2, 11, 12 and 31 for Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Mahaasthami/Mahanavami, Dussehra and Diwali. Besides, October 6, 13, 20, and 27 are Sundays, and October 12 and 26 are 2nd and 4th Saturdays. In total, there will be nine days of closure in October.
The online banking and UPI services will be available as normal. They will not be affected by these holidays. Customers can access banking services through
