Bhubaneswar: The capital city saw a 15% drop in daily COVID-19 cases, with 753 people testing positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
On June 3, Bhubaneswar had registered 898 cases, while there were 918 fresh cases the day before.
Of the new cases, 126 are from quarantine and 622 through local contacts.
Maximum cases were reported from Patia (47), followed by Nayapalli (42), Chandrasekharpur (28), Sailashree Vihar (27), Old Town (23), Jharpada (22), Laxmisagar (20), Badagada (19), Khandagiri (18), Dumduma and Mancheswar (16 each).
Meanwhile, 1,275 patients recovered in last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the city is 79,327 till date.
Bhubaneswar has seen 68,827 people recover from coronavirus. It currently has 10,131 active cases.
