Baripada: Over 15 persons were injured, some of them grievously, after the passenger bus carrying them overturned at Rangamatia Chhak in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday.
The mishap took place when the private bus carrying passengers was on its way to Baripada from Chandaneswar in Balasore district.
Sources said the bus lost its balance and overturned when the driver tried to save a bike-rider who suddenly appeared before the vehicle at Rangamatia Chhak.
All the injured passengers have been admitted to PRM Medical College and Hospital at Baripada where the condition of some people was stated to be critical.
