Bargarh: At least 15 pilgrims were injured, some of them critically, when a bus carrying them overturned overturned at a village in Padampur area of Odisha’s Bargarh district on Sunday.
As per preliminary reports, the mishap took place at Sulia village under the jurisdiction of Buden police station when the bus carrying around 55 pilgrims from Baloda Bazar area of Chhattisgarh was proceeding to Nrusinghanath temple in Bargarh.
The bus apparently lost balance at a sharp turn and turned turtle. At least 15 passengers sustained injuries in the mishap.
On being informed, a police team reached the spot and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital.
According to police, 15 people were critically injured and 17 others sustained minor injuries in the accident. The police have initiated a probe into the matter.
